Not sure what you are doing, it works for me:
Go to www.openoffice.org
Click "Get Openoffice.org"
On the page that opens, click "Download OpenOffice.org"
On the page that opens, click the word "Windows"
Note that the new 2.1 version seems currently to be only available for
Windows 2000, NT and XP. I'm told it will run on Vista. I don't know if
it will run on older versions or if there will ever be versions that
will run on older versions. Unfortunately, the System Requirements
section still relates to version 2.0 and hasn't yet been updated to
cover 2.1.
Perhaps someone closer to the project can answer these questions ???
