I need to prepare a template that will be used to print on a legal form. The text must be in precise locations on the page so that the pre-printed form is correctly filled in. I've not found a way of doing this by looking through menus and the Users Guide (although the index for the latter stops at the end of 'D' with a bit of 'T' thrown in as a teaser).
In the years I used WordPerfect, I did this placement using the 'advance' functions to move the cursor a specified distance horizontally and vertically. I've not tried this in OO.o since WP/linux died with the change to libc6. Please point me to the proper section of help or User Guide so I can create this template and use it to fill in one form as soon as possible. TIA, Rich -- Richard B.
