A somewhat misleading answer.
Nothing misleading in this answer as far as I am concerned. There is no
grammar checker in OOo.
There are at least half a dozen grammar checkers for OOo. They all have
to be installed by the end user. They also require that one by something
of a geek.
I have asked before where they can be found and you never answered. If one has
to be a geek to use them it means there is not a readily usable grammar checker
for OOo. Saying that there is one is therefore misleading.
The specific one to install depends upon which languages you need one for.

My web searches confirm what you say. There is no grammar checker.
Don't get caught up in these silly games.
