(I thought I would never ask this question myself on this list, but here it goes)

Where do I get Russian language Win with JRE version of
OO2.1 Release?
Thanks a lot for direct link (or at least some explanation).
WBR,
K. Palagin.

my russian isn't what it used to be,
but isn't this the page you're looking for?
http://ru.openoffice.org/about-downloads.html

Well, I am not exactly sure - earlier on (say 6 month ago) those guys
were pushing their own build of OO (with some modifications, some good -
some less good). I would like to get build by Sun. With versions 2.0.3
and 2.0.4 I could do this from http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
. Now I can't.
Apparently I have missed some announcement of changes.
How do I know that I am getting build by Sun?
Language packs don't appear to be out yet for 2.1, but you could try installing the standard release OOo2.1 and then install the 2.0.4rc3 language pack from:

http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.0.4rc3/

Both full localised OOo2.0.4 packs and language packs are here. i.e. you would want:

http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.0.4rc3/OOo_2.0.4rc3_060926_Win32Intel_langpack_ru.exe

If the GUI interface hasn't changed then this should work fine, but if not it will work for 99.9% of it until the 2.1 version comes out. I don't recall if these packs include dictionaries, or if they're just GUI translations but the size suggests they do.

In fact, if you already have the ru version of OOo2.0.4 or earlier installed then you should be able to install the standard OOo2.1 over it and still have your earlier version ru interface translations. I've done similar by accident and wondered why some parts of the GUI weren't working properly (they had been changed from the previous version I had installed).
