Testing is Etch at the moment, until it becomes stable real soon now, then the next testing will be called Lenny. Sid is always unstable Sid :) > It installed fine for me-- except that the symlinks don't update, and I was afraid somebody would say that. :( > the gnome menu items all disappeared, but this is a known issue. > I'm wondering if you have an old version of alien or rpm, and if that > might be the problem. I'm running near the leading edge, tracking unstable and sometimes testing. I think you're right about alien. I saw a new version go in the other day, so I tried again to install 2.1. Saw different error messages but basically I'm still where I was before. > The other thing is that OOo 2.1 RC2 is on the official debian site but > under experimental. Thanks, Keith. It should be in unstable in a few days. I'll just wait till then. 2.0.4 is working very well for me. Don't really "need" to update. It's just a compulsion, I guess. I think I'll ask around to see if anyone has managed to get it to install on Sid. saludos, Richard. > -- > God bless you, > > > Keith Bates > 4 Mooloobar St > Narrabri NSW 2390 > > Phone: 02 67924890 > Fax: 02 67925418 > > www.new-life.org.au > > If you don't have a reason to live > > JESUS IS THE ANSWER! > > Ask him into your life today... > He really does make a difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
