Choose the cell, go to Format > Cell Choose "Number", and in the Format Code box, type in the following: 0;[RED](0) This would make the negative numbers in red, and within brackets. Remove the "[RED]" if you do not want the negative number coloured red. Works on OOo 2.0.2 running on FC 5, build 2.6.18-1.2254 Hope this helps.
