Since I haven't seen any responses, and this is somewhat urgent, I'm submitting it again:

I have a 2 page mail merge letter, 1st page needs 1.5" left margin while the second page needs a 1" left margin. I can't get it to work correctly. I type the letter, then at the natural page break of the letter, I enter a manual page break, put cursor on the next page, then choose Format->Page and set the margins appropriately. This changes all pages in the document including the first page, despite the Help topic's statement that this way should work.

I've also tried defining page styles with the two different margin settings and applying them to each page, but even if I have a manual break between the pages, it applies whichever style I choose to the entire document.

Lastly, as an aside, on a 2 page document, if I add a page break to the end of the first page before the natural break, OOo adds a whole blank page to the document before continuing on with p.2 of the text. The behavior is the same if I insert the page break at the beginning of the first line of the second page - I get the blank page.

How can I do what I'm trying to do?

Thanks,
Carl

OK, new development. I was able to get the document to use two different left margins by inserting a manual break that incorporated the second page style that had a different left margin than the first, but that's the only way I could get it to work. Is this intentional or a potential bug?

Second, when I try to mailmerge that letter, the resulting mail merge loses the second page style and reverts to the larger 1st page margin. This seems like a bug. Any knowledge of this as a bug? What to do about it?

Carl
