Once I red that MS Word documents save the ethernet ID of the NIC of
the computer where it was composed or saved. Does any one knows if
the ODT format does the same?

I think Rich is right. Even saving the ethernet ID won't help. I just use some software that doesn't include this and then include yours by hand.

The problem is that once the document is printed it's really hard to check. I guess you could publish a word count, in alphabetical order by word, which could be checked by OCR'ing the document and running software that calculates the count on the result.
