Hi folks,

I have just downloaded the latest release and wanted to install the
suite.
But, just before the installation is complete I receive an error
message of
error 1935. Telling me something about problems when assembling
something (see attached screenshot of the error message).

I tried both the English and the German version. None of them works
and ends up in the same error.

I assume this is a common problem. So, I hope there is someone out
there who's able to help me out, and get me OO installed soon.

Thanks in advance

Thomas
Attachments normally don't get through to this mail list; yours didn't. Please, in future, simply either copy/paste the text of any error messages you want to tell us about or (sorry) just type them in the hard way.

Your problem is normally caused by your Antivirus (AV) software thinking a new program is a virus. This happens with all sorts of software, not just OpenOffice.

To overcome the problem: disconnect your system from the internet; disable your AV *and* firewall software; install OpenOffice (tell it you will register later or that you are already registered); restart your AV and firewall; reconnect to the internet. Never leave your system connected to the net unless your AV and firewall are both running properly.

If that still fails, come back here with the details.
