If you are using Outlook as your contact management system, you
can continue to do so with OOo. Many people do this. Others use
Mozilla's Thunderbird with the calendar extension. Still others use
Evolution.
I am not sure what you mean by ACT being compatible with OOo. I
am not acquainted with ACT, nor do I understand exactly how you would
use it.
