I see this problem as the usage of Safari to download a file off of a FTP/web site. This is a known problem with this browser. How to fix: Get and use either Firefox or Camino. Apple has no desire to fix the problem in either Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) nor TIger (Mac OS X 10.4). This issue may be corrected in Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5).
