I downloaded openoffice but it appears nowhere in my directory. I had
directed that it be placed as a separate file on the C: drive, but I
have looked in every folder and it isn't anywhere. What do you suppose
happened?
Hi Carol,
You appear to be running MS Windows and I will guess that it is version
XP. So try the following:
1. Click on the "Start" button and click on the "Search" option.
2. In the "Search Results" window click on the "All files & folders"
option.
3. In the "All or part of the file name" field type all or part of the
following: "OOo_2.1.0_Win32Intel_install" (without the quote marks "")
4. Click the "Search" button and wait.
If you downloaded all or part of the OOo (OpenOffice.org) installation
program it's location will show up in the search list.
Otherwise: From another poster to this list:

If you can't find the OOo files - more than 90 MB of them - via
the search function, it would seem that the download failed. Why
not try downloading them again ?...
