You need to download the Windows version (there are versions for Mac,
Linux etc.) *and then* run the downloaded file.
Go to www.openoffice.org and click the big green button labelled "Get
OpenOffice.org". On the page that opens click the big green button
labelled "Download OpenOffice.org". On the page that opens click
"Windows". If you click "Linux" or "Solaris" or ... you will get the
wrong version. On the page that opens click "Installation Instructions"
and carefully read what you need to do. Then and only then do it.
Please, how did you find this list without finding out that OpenOffice
runs on Windows?
