Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me with a fairly urgent problem - if I'm not to
loose a lot of data I've just entered!
I've spent an hour updating a spreadsheet file and at the end of the work I got
the message:
"Error saving the document WALKGRPA.ods: Write Error. The file could not be
written."
This is a file I've been using regularly without problems saving or opening.
Thank you,
Dave Potter.

First of all, you should, in the future, have a practice of saving files
much more frequently, so you avoid a situation where you spend an hour
on something without saving. Every 5 minutes would be a better practice.
You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S to very quickly save files.
Now about your current problem -- I'm not sure what the cause of it is,
but what I would try it doing a File > Save As, to save it as a
different name and/or different location on your drive. Again, without
knowing for sure why you are getting the "Write Error", I can't be sure
if this will work. But it is the first thing that I would try.
Another possible approach would be to copy and paste your data into a
new spread sheet, and save that.
Are you able to save other spreadsheets or is it just this file?
