And did you check the replacement table to see if Nemo's is in it? If so, just delete it. If not, then something else might be going on.

Hi,
Is there anyway to shut off an autocorrect of a term you may have put in
their mistakenly. I have one such thing where it will not let me put in
a possessive form of a name, and chops it off every time I type it (it
was supposed to be set up in a custom dictionary that I have for my
fantasy writing). Any help would be appreciated.

Putting words into a custom dictionary should not have anything to do
with autocorrect. By autocorrect, I'm assuming you're referring
specifically to the "replacement table", where one word is automatically
replaced by another. This is usually used to correct spelling mistakes;
for example "teh" is corrected to "the".

If the word that is being replaced, against your desires, is in the
replacement table, it can easily be removed from the table. But I'm not
sure, based on your description, if this is in fact the situation. What
is the specific word that is being replaced?

To remove something from the replacement table, do the following. Go to
Tools > Autocorrect, click on the Replace tab. Scroll down the list of
words in the replacement table, and find the one that you don't want
replaced. Click on it to select it, then click Delete.
