I can take number 1.

Yes, it's quite easy. I'll assume you are talking about Writer. First, turn on 
the header (and you are not using styles, although you really should be). 
Insert -> Header -> Default . If it's already on, don't do this step as it 
will turn off the headers. Put the cursor in the header, and hit tab twice, 
or if the number will be the only thing in the header, click on the right 
justify button. Now Insert -> Fields -> Page Number.

As for 2, I don't have that problem, so I can't help you. I suspect it is 
because you are trying to mix numbering methods, something I learned a while 
ago not to do.
