In openoffice I go to the insert menu choose envelope - choose either
new doc or insert - type in addresser and addressee - select #10
envelope in format tab and make any margin adjustments to my needs,
select fifth from left envelope in printer tab, #10 envelopes are loaded
in canon i550 printer long wise up and down or narrow left to right and
I select either print from top or print from bottom, select #10 envelope
in properties of printer tab and begin printing the envelope by pushing
print button with my mouse cursor/pointer. Only the addresser portion
of my typed input is printed on the envelope 2.5 inches below the top
left margin of the envelope. ... The graphic display of what was to be
printed shows a #10 envelope marked at the bottom of what appears to be
a page roughly six inches high and 9 inches wide on screen. The empty
space on this page above the marked out envelope is about 2.5 inches.
My printer puts the length of the envelope vertically at the far right
of my printers page output slot or port. I have my printer driver set to
bjc7004 in yast printer module. And that module seems to be
malfunctioning as It hangs trying to access printer database (It says
the driver database has changed and it tries to build a databse when it
stops showing progress and does not finish) when I try to edit/change
printer driver or driver settings. Could this 7400 driver be the
culprit? I was using 7100 but print quality lacked so I tried 7004 and
it was better.
Also is there a tutorial where I may learn to automate page numbering in
open office?
