Hi James,

I created and maintain the Australian English dictionary for OpenOffice.org.

To answer the question, "Is this the best way to do it?"

IMHO it is a quick way and reasonable way to do things.

Another way to avoid this issue is to join my mailing list. If the format
changes, I will inform all people who have registered as users of the
Australian English language files, as new files will need to be produced.)

I also have a few questions for you.

Do you realise your own words you have added are not in the files you are
copying?

Do you know there are later versions of the Australian English language files
available from JustLocal?

Do you know there is a version of the Australian English dictionary which does
not have the "ize" variations? (This may or may not interest you.)

Do you know the default Thesaurus contains many words (such a color) and an
updated Thesaurus is available?

If you are interested, I would also appreciate obtaining a copy of your list
of words to review. Your input can make the dictionary files better for
everyone.

I hope this information is of assistance.

Regards,

Kelvin Eldridge
