Kevin,

OOo 1.1.2 is _very_ old, current release is 2.1. I am not sure if 1.1.2
even had the "export to pdf function." I seem to remember that came
about 1.1.4, but could well be wrong in that. An update would seem to be
in order, if feasible.

This sort of error in Linux is often due to permissions on the directory
where the program is trying to save the document.
