I don't think there is an "update" for OpenOffice.org 2.1, however I think that the regular installation package will find your old OpenOffice.org 1.1installation and then ask you if you want to upgrade or install OpenOffice.org 2.1 in a separate folder. You can have both versions on the same PC and then, if you feel that OpenOffice.org 2.1 works fine with you, uninstall OpenOffice.org 1.1 or the other way around if you feel that OpenOffice.org 2.1 is too slow or something (it was on my old desktop bought in january 1999, but it's fast enough on my new laptop with 2 GB internal memory).
