Dear Sir or Madam, our detailed question regarding the OpenOffice.org Base is included in the attachment. We would like to inform you that we extensively utilize and promote open source and freeware software with/to our students. The issue regards table creation and editing. OpenOffice allows creation of the tables without the primary key, but then thy can not be edited. In your FAQ we found the instruction which guides user to add the primary key. We came to this solution ourselves. On the one hand we do not see what is the point in allowing the creation of the tables that can not be edited. On the other hand tables without the primary key are the vital component of the every serious database. We would appreciate complete and sincere answer.
Yours truly, Ph.D. Professor Marina Cicin-Sain B.sc. Ivan Uroda, Assistant
