Hi John

Just to add to the confusion, I tried repeating your experiment on my
OOo 2.1 /gentoo installation.

I modified my default document to 1.00cm tab stops, File-Template-Saved
it as "writer_default" then set as my default template. Closed OOo,
reopened and the default document shows 1.00cm tabs.

I haven't tried rebooting or even logging off/on, but as I read your
messages, this has not been necessary to produce the problem.

Seems it may be something unique to your setup?

Regards

Russell
