2007/1/22, Percy Adams <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I have a iMac G3 with OSX 10.03 128 MB memory and CD ROM only and I would like to know if I can order a CD with Open Office for this system and OS. If so, send price and address. Thank you Percy Adams
The newest version of OpenOffice.org still supports Panther (10.3.x) and 128 MB is the minimum memory requirement. This means that OOo will run on your iMac G3, but that it might be rather slow (so don't run too many other programs alongside it). See the Mac pages of OOo: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ Why not download OOo directly from the website? On the download pages you can find links to businesses that distribute CD's with OOo: http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/index.html#cdrom Beware because some businesses charge way too much for this service (basically burning a CD and postage). As a benefit, you get some extra clip-art and templates... Alternatively, you can look out for computer magazines that include a free CD, which may include OOo. If you encounter problems, feel free to come back to the list with your question -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
