Dear Open Office,

The latest verision of OpenOffice.org (OOo) is 2.1. If you are
referring to email attachments generated in MS Office formats, then
the answer is yes. In such cases, I advise you right click each
attachment and save it to a folder of your choosing. Then open it in
OOo when you want to look at or work on it.

Unfortunately there is no right-click available by default on a Mac.
Fortunately it is very intuitive, and if you are using Mail clicking
save next to an attachment's name will do the same thing.
