OOo 2.x and OOo 1.1.x can coexist in peace. You don't have to uninstall one, to install the other.

Typically, OOo will import values from older installations. IOW, 2.1 should import the values from 1.1.4. OOo 1.1.4 will not import values from OOo 2.0.x.

Yes. The version that you install will overwrite older files in the same directory. The older version might not survive that experience.

You will have to tell OOo which version of Java you want to use. AFAIK, both work fine with OOo 2.x
