2007/1/29, CAN SURMELI <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I see the "x11sdk.pkg" file when I checked my installation CD.I downloaded "x11user.pkg" file but when I try to install it it says that "a newer version is installed.".So that I couldn't install x11 so Open Office doesn't starts up. I also checked my Utilities folder to see the x11 icon but it was missing. What can i do now? What happening? And how can i uninstall the newer version to install the "x11user.pkg" file. Sincerely Can. AFAIK the 'newer version' message means that you have Tiger (Mac OSX 10.4), while you try to install the X11 that goes with Panther (OSX 10.3). Tiger is 'newer' than Panther, OK? If you can find the sdk package (which is for developers) on your install CD, you must be able to find the User package too. IOn my Intel Mac the package sits in Mac OS X Install Disc 1 / Systam / Installation / Packages Put the install CD in your computer and use Spotlight to locate the X11User.pkg. You can install it from there... -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
