Hi! I have solved my problem, about the open office not starting in mac. I found out that the NeoOffice did not start either, nor one other program that I downloaded.
The problem was not versions of X11 or newest patch, but that the Mac Java virtual machine, software or such were not updated. When I did the SOFTWARE UPDATE for everything, at least neoOffice and that other program now start and work well. I think I'll stick to neoOffice after all, even though it's slow, it has the familiar mac user interface and no extra windows floating. But thank you very much of your help!! Good luck with the project. - Vilja Helkiö On 1/29/07, CPHennessy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
