[users] Setting default field variable style

OOo defaults the date field as MO/DA/YR (two digits for month/day/year) 
and I'd like to set it to format as Month Day, Year (as in January 31, 
2007.  I can change to that format, but can't seem to figure out how to 
set that as the default style for the current default page style.  Can 
someone help me figure this out?
