Not that it probably matters, but OOo Writer 2.1.0 on Linux. I'm using outline numbering, and have used the automatic Indexs -> Indexes and Tables for creating my table of contents (TOC). The problem occurs when I needed to add a footnote to a header in the document. The footnote adds just fine, but the superscripted number now appears in the TOC, is no longer connected to the footnote, and is no longer superscripted.
Is there a way to add a footnote to a header without the footnote automatically being copied to the TOC (incorrectly)? -- Fail to learn history-repeat it. Fail to learn rights-lose them.
