If you mean what I think you mean, the line looks fine on my screen.  I
doubt that the result you are getting has anything to do with Calc - it
could be a monitor resolution issue or anything.  I've seen flaws in the
rendition of lines created with the line score character on other software
at times.

Perhaps you would get a better result using borders - Format >Cells :
Borders

If you want to underline the contents of a cell, use Ctrl + U (Format >Cells
: Font Effects)
