Marc As you are in the UK you could find a computer magazine with OpenOffice on the cover disc and use that. It may save time and effort. Please note that the latest version of OpenOffice is 2.1 and they may not have this on the cover disc.
Thanks Rob -----Original Message----- From: Marc Howland [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 05 February 2007 00:08 To: [email protected] Subject: [users] DOWNLOAD Hello OpenOffice, I have tried to download the 93MB file for windows XP, the estimated time for this download to complete is usually over 5 hours (I have ntlworld dial up 56k modem etc). Trouble is NTL my service provider disconnects after 2 hours ...so I end up only downloading about a 3rd of the file before disconnection. When I reconnect to the internet the downloading of the file starts at the beginning again rather than continuing from where I left off just before disconnection. Any suggestions to this problem ...... perhaps any way the file can be partially saved and then continued thereafter ... the first time I tried it I managed to download 34mb in the first 2 hours before disconnection.... the file saved is currently stored with this amount.
