     While Impress will open PowerPoint files directly, Base (OOo's 
database application) will not open Access files directly. You have 
to establish a connection between OOo and the Access file. The 
required connection is only available on computers running the 
Windows operating system. Since I use Linux instead of Windows, I can 
not really help you any further.
