Also, note that there are two implementations available for the Mac:
OpenOffice and NeoOffice,
which is based on the same source code. The primary difference is
that OO requires the use of
the X Windowing system, while Neo uses the Mac's native graphics
library and lookand feel.
I haven't used NeoOffice so I can't speak to it, only to say that
people have told me it is much
more stable than it used to be and it seems like there are more
people starting to use it.
