Heather: There are several versions of OpenOffice.org that are usable on a MacIntosh computer. However, at the present time, there is no Native version but that is being worked on.
The current version requires the use of a windowing system commonly used in the UNIX and Linux world called X11. It is simple to install and use. However, you may want to wait for the native version or if you want to use a derivative version called NeoOffice that is native, please do so. However, no support is given for that program here.
