Heather:

There are several versions of OpenOffice.org that are usable on a MacIntosh 
computer.
However, at the present time, there is no Native version but that is being 
worked on.

The current version requires the use of a windowing system commonly used in the 
UNIX 
and Linux world called X11.  It is simple to install and use.  However, you may 
want to 
wait for the native version or if you want to use a derivative version called 
NeoOffice that is
native, please do so.  However, no support is given for that program here.
