While your information is perfectly correct and very useful for the OP they 
will almost certainly NEVER SEE IT. 

The user is not subscribed ( and may not know either how to or what a mailing 
list is). Therefore to make sure that OPs get an answer it is a good idea to 
CC: them. 

(You can verify yourself whether a user is subscribed or not by looking at 
the "Delivered-to:" headers and if it contains a "moderator" then the OP will 
not see responses sent only to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
