2007/2/10, Leo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi all,
I am printing a very long table.
I want two things:
o The first row of each page is a row of names, something like:
"Id Name Email"
1. Click Format -> Print Range -> Edit...
2. Place the cursor in one of the fields in "Print range"
3. Select the range you want to be printed out (without closing the dialog)
4. Place the cursor in one of the "Repeat row" fields.
5. Select one or more sells in the row that you want to be repeated for each
printed page.
6. Click OK.
o Odd and even rows have different backgrounds
I don't think you can do this UNLESS you want different backgrounds on
the screen too. If that's OK,
do the following:
First create two styles with the background colours you want. Name them to
something that doesn't make things complicated, like "Odd" and "Even". Here
is one way to obtain this:
1. Press F11.
2.
Make sure that the left icon (Cell Formatting Templates) is selected.
If not, select it.
3. If you have a template that you want to use as a start, then right click
it, otherwise right click Standard (or maybe it's called "default" in the
English version, I have the Swedish version so I really can't tell).
4. Click "New...".
5. Do the changes you want. The Administrate tab let you enter a name, so
enter "Odd" here. Then the Background tab would probably be one thing that
you want to make changes to.
6. Click OK.
7. Right click "Odd" to make the "Even" template. This is of course done the
same way as the Odd one, just name it "Even" instead of "Odd".
Now you should have two templates with different background colours: Odd and
Even. Now we want to apply Odd to all odd rows and Even to all even rows:
1. Select all the cells in the printing range except the header row (unless
you want to include it as well).
2. Press F11 if the stylist windows is not already open.
3. Double click Odd. This makes the "Odd" style to be applied to all
selected cells.
4. Click Format -> Conditional formatting...
5. For condition 1, which should be checked, select "Formula is"
rather than "Cell value is".
6. In the wide field to the right enter ISEVEN(ROW())
7. Now select "Even" in the field below the wide field (called something
like "Cell style" I would guess).
8. Click OK.
Now the work should be done.
If you want to change the colours or other settings, just change the styles
"Odd" and/or "Even", using the stylist (F11
or find it in the format menu, somewhere in the middle).

I am running ooo 2.0. Thank you for your help.
