Hi,
I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to open an Excel
file using Calc.
What process do you try to achieve this?
In Calc try File -> Open then navigate to the file you wish to open.
Although Calc will open Excel files, there may be certain features
that do not work 100% in Calc.
If this does not solve your problem or you get any error messages
please email the list again and include details such as your
Operating System, OpenOffice version and what exactly it is your are
doing to achieve your goal.
