I am a mac user and I want to work with open office instead of MS
office but I have problem making it work on my macbook!
I run on 10.4.8 with X11 1.1.3 installed I download OpenOffice 2.1
for intel mac I follow the procedure and when the OpenOffice starts
and it shows the dialog for the fonts, whatever you choose at that
point it continues with the initialization progress bar and you can
see the application's icon on the dock but when the initialization
completes nothing happens exept that the icon disappears from the
dock and the only thing that is loaded and running is X11.
Please I need some help to free my self from microsoft office
