In Find & Replace: More Options Regular Expressions (tick the box) in Search for: use a dollar sign $ instead of \n \n Represents a line break that was inserted with the Shift+Enter key combination. To change a line break into a paragraph break, enter \n in the Search for and Replace with boxes, and then perform a search and replace. Try it; at the end of a paragraph do a Shift+Enter key (turn on view nonprinting characters so you can see the difference). Now do the \n and you will see that OOo finds the hard carriage return/line break. You can change the line break by: Search: \n Replace: \n You might find this webpage by Garry Knight helpful: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/garryknight/linux/ooregexp.html and some excellent macros by Ian Laurenson here: http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/hillview/OOo/ see: http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/hillview/OOo/IannzFindReplace.sxw --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
