Hi Katie,
If you're running Windows, you could use Snagit. One of the options is
to print to the snagit print driver with TIF as the output file type. It
will output a multiple page TIF. You can download a fully-functional 30
day trial version here:

p.s. If you're not running windows and don't mind sending me your paper,
email the pdf off-list and I'll TIF it for you.

Hello,
I am using OpenOffice version 2.0.2. I have written my master's paper
and the next step is getting it published. In order to do so I need to
save the file as both a .PDF and a .TIFF and burn both versions onto a
cd. I already (and easily) exported it as a .PDF, but I can't figure out
how to do this with the .TIFF format.
Any help you could offer on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I know of two things.
You can open the PDF in The GIMP and save each page as a tiff.
I suspect you have a lot of pages so that solution is not feasible.
I wonder why The GIMP does not save each layer as a separate TIFF (in
the same file).
The other solution is to do a web search for 'convert PDF TIFF your_OS'.
