Also, there is a searchable archive of this mailing list.  I look through the 
incoming messages,
delete those I'm not an expert on, answer those that I do know the answer to 
(after looking for 
others answers so that I do not duplicate their answers), delete those messages 
and keep only
those that I have to follow-up on (bugs and other such things that I have to 
confirm as problems
before accessing the Issue Tracker.)  Thus, there are few messages from this 
list in my hold mail 
folders.  Others can follow suit if they wish, but I see no need to keep 
thousands of messages on
my computer that I am not going to read again.
