Hello all!

I'm using OOo 2.1 for Windows XP and I'm trying to use the Mail Merge feature 
for documents that are not form letters (ie, certificates, student record 
sheets) and connect that to a table previously created with OOo Writer or Calc 
(much like MS Excel and Word can connect to each other). I've followed all the 
step with the Mail Merge wizard but cannot get the desired output. I've even 
cheated and created an address book with the info and manipulate the fields and 
still cannot get what I want.

I'm a big fan of OOo and don't like to 'cheat' by using MS products. Is it that 
the flexibility in the mail merge is not available at the moment?
