It is true that I am receiving attachments from a friend using Word Perfect Professional (but the files do not show a Word Perfect extension). In OpenOffice I have been able to open the files beautifully, until yesterday.
You can open a WordPerfect file if you first save it. Then right-click on it and choose "Open With". If Openoffice.org is not in the lisr, select "Choose Program" and find OOo. (This is Windows XP that I'm talking about.)
Yesterday he sent a file and I went through the process to open it in OpenOffice; but when I clicked on it to open it in OpenOffice Writer, it would not open, quit responding.
