Look for a directory named .openoffice.org2 under your user root directory. Either rename it or delete it. You will HAVE to reregister and set up any special directories you were using. This should fix the problem with saving documents and may fix opening any documents you have created in the past. BTW, this happened on my Mac system switching from OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 and 2.0.3.
