Thanks for replying.  I am using PCLinuxOS with the Xfce desktop.  My OOo
version is 2.0.2 and these are (some at least of) the characters I'd like to
use: § © ® ¼ ½ ¾ ¢ £ ¥ ç è é ê ü ß ï ÷ ± °  When I track down symbols for
trademark and the euro, those too.
