Okay, for some reason I was unsubscribed to the list. Corrected that. On 18 Feb 2007 at 13:04, Guy Voets wrote:

Did that. Maybe that was the reason I was unsubscribed? If anything, it is a bit faster to load than my Windows OOo. Of course, my MacBook Pro is a faster machine. Yes, NeoOffice is a fork/port of OOo - but the X11 version for the Mac is also a fork/port of sorts. The base code of OOo is still present in both versions. What is changed is the way it is displayed. The NeoOffice version does display faster on the newer Macs because it is not having to load up the X11 stuff. For older Macs I would suggest using the X11 port for the stability of OOo. I'd also suggest using the X11 version of OOo if you are concerned about the stability of OOo - NeoOffice does have to make some changes to the display that might break things in OOo. That said, NeoOffice does work well for me. -- Robert http://mysite.verizon.net/res8wwq0/ Few men during their lifetime come anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them.
