It depends what kind of "text" you take from the net. It might be
something other than just plain text, so the problem would not be Office
2000. If you run Windows, try first with the Notepad. OpenOffice can
open HTML files, but I suppose MS Office can open them too.

Here's my question I have Office 2000 and I cannot get it to do one simple
little task. All I want is to paste in TEXT just text from a web page to a
word processing document so I can put in a floppy take it to Kinko's and
print it out. Is that too much to ask. Obviously yes it is
SO the question is can I use Open office to do that?? then I will get rid of
stupid crashing office 2000 flush it down the commode
