Just downloaded openoffice.org cuz I can't afford Microsoft. I'm now on Windows XP. I have some kind of compaq computer (don't know what, my son bought it from a college buddy), and a Lexmark Z25 printer. I have no trouble printing otherwise. I just want to print an envelope only. I use insert>envelope, get the envelope box, filled in the addresses, didn't mess with the format, the printer listed as current was the Z25, doubled-checked my printer options for envelope, and hit 'new doc'. It won't print, says it can't turn my printer on and to check printer configurations. If I just create a document it will print that just fine. What am I doing wrong? (I don't know how to check 'printer configurations). Help please. Thanks.
