I am sure you are correct, but using Thunderbird as a newsreader (with gmane), if I download the header, clicking on that link seems to open the message body. OK, just tried on a message with an embedded image and I was able to see the headers and stop the download of the message, but under normal circumstances the message will load almost immediately. Perhaps just an indication of connection speed. Sorry if I am just showing ignorance or clumsiness here, but I am always willing to learn if there is something else I could or should do.
