Hello everyone, When i Launch openoffice 2.1 in OS X PPC version. I get the following error message: sh: line 1: /usr/bin/sed: cannot execute binary file Edit or OK If i try to edit the file it tells me it is unable to read the dictionary of the application or extension because it is not scriptable. I think the problem is with my setup on OSX the extension to some file is assigned to run in sed when it should be running something else, I guess, i just don't know what or where this should be running. Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you Andrew
The installation package you downloaded should be a *.dmg. I wouldn't think you can assign a dmg to be opend by another program. If so undo this assignation. Maybe the download file is corrupt. You could try another download and chech the md5sum see http://porting.openoffice.org/mac HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 1 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
